About Joanne Lezemore
Joanne Lezemore is a highly experienced solicitor with over 30 years in legal practice. She founded Lezemore Solicitors in 2015 and brings a wealth of expertise to every client she helps.
Her background training and early career focused on employment law and civil litigation in a small, busy firm in London’s West End. This hands-on experience in contentious matters from the small claims court up to the Court of Appeal gave her a strong foundation in practical problem-solving and litigation strategy.
Joanne went on to spend over a decade at Which? Legal Service, where she held senior roles. There she led large teams of solicitors and barristers, managed high volumes of client advice, and was widely recognised as the “Consumer Champion” through regular appearances on television and radio.
While at Which?, it became clear that while many organisations offered advice to individual consumers, very few provided targeted, high-quality support to small businesses. This gap inspired Joanne to expand her practice. Today, through J L Lezemore Solicitors, she continues to help individual consumers while also supporting small businesses and start-ups with the practical legal advice they need to thrive.
Joanne also undertakes consultancy work with Sanders Witherspoon Solicitors, a larger firm based in Billericay. This relationship allows her to refer clients seamlessly to additional resources and expertise when a matter falls outside the core areas J L Lezemore Solicitors handles, always ensuring you receive the most appropriate support for your needs.
Joanne is trained and accredited in mediation. She is known for her calm, approachable manner and her ability to simplify complex legal issues. Clients particularly value her realistic, no-nonsense approach and her commitment to achieving fair, efficient outcomes.
